When designing the new mug collection Denby wanted to ensure they were bringing something to the category that only they can offer.

In the Design Studio at Denby, their design team are free to explore; to experiment with colour and form, lines and techniques, allowing creativity to flow and inspiration to strike.

The result; a collection of stunning hand-decorated mugs that use a mix of traditional pottery skills such as traditional hand-painting and alongside new techniques like splatter and marbling effects. These combine in this collection to create a textural range of mugs that epitomise Denby's artisan, handcrafting techniques and stunning glazes perfected over 200 years.

Denby Studio Grey is part of Denby's wider Studio collection which is inspired by the trend for a natural aesthetic using honest materials and ceramic crafting techniques. With a dramatic charcoal band of colour framing many items and its contemporary granite and quartz-coloured textured reactive glazes, Studio Grey creates a casual, uncluttered yet impactful look.

The colour palette has been created in line with the trend for matt grey tones. The range has been designed to be clean and uncluttered - simplicity is key. Studio Grey has been designed to be styled in different ways to suit the customer and the occasion whether as a standalone piece or to create impact within your existing collections.
